Thumbs up 2 for 2!

Out in the backyard again right now.. crystal clear sky!

Jupiter is getting higher, ganymede's shadow is transitting right now, and ganymede is approaching the planet close enough that i've got them both in the FOV of the CCD.

The seeing is quite good again, at least as good as yesterday, and I think my collimation is much better - ganymede is appearing as a tiny disc and I can see the white spots and red barge that come right before the GRS (which will begin transit soon) on the screen while capturing. I'm hoping today will be my first "detail on ganymede" capture for 2007!

No drift alignment again, but my plonk and set is working well.. Jupiter is in the FOV without much movement, only a minor adjustment after each channel is selected.

More avi's to crunch through! Argh!

Fantastic Mike when I looked out earlier I had a feeling you would be out there. It is exciting to hear a on the spot transmission. Imagine if you had a cam streaming the action to your public, so we could look at it unfold on our screen. You doing the work showing newcomers an expert in action.
Just a thought.
