Before you go to work

Before you hop in your car or hurry off to catch the train or bus take the time to look up and admire our Moon. Here in sydney it is clear and it looks so wonderful sitting up there promising you a short dark opportunity tonight.

Agreed, it was a beautiful sight this morning.. I had an eyeball at Jupiter too, while hopping in the car...

Looked like a nice still morning to do some imaging, if it wasn't for the thick fog.

Glad you southerners have clear skies. I put my new 200mm scope together last night...opened the garage doors...ready for some viewing with that extra apperture...only to find 100% cloud cover. Still the same this morning, but none of the rain we all need.

The satellite picture doesn't look good for tonight, either.

Sigh

When I got up at 5:30 it was still dark, Alex. It shouldn't have been. Cloud is the answer. I'll try again tomorrow.

I have clear sky up to the point where I set up the scope, then it's all downhill.
The Moon was very nice this morning.

Cheers

I had the car in the garage with a steering lock on the wheel and about 4-30am it mustta contracted expanded whatever but it set the horn off in the car after laying there in a state of confusion and thinking it was the neighbours car I realised it was my car ..so I bolted out of bed and went base over appex over my guitar case that I looked at before going to bed and thinking ..should move that..nah I will have a torch if I get up (to get back on the net of course) so what a way to start the day . So even if it starts bad does not mean you have to stay in that frame of mind .
And my Son returned my binos so in comes the cloud... still what a great day
I didnt break my neck or the guitar .
