The Moon isn't spoiling OUR time!

Tonight, Harry and I shared one of those special moments.

Because the Moon is rising later each night now, and giving us a brief glimpse of dark sky again, Harry and I set up the deck chairs out in the back paddock to try spot Comet McNaught again.

The good news is that it is becoming slightly brighter again. The tail was quite obvious to both of us just before the Moon flooded the sky!

The better news is that Harry pointed up (to the correct stars) and said "hey, there's Betelguese, Bellatrix and Rigel". Then using the binoculars, said "The Orion Neb is a bit pale tonight coz of the rotten Moon".

I've created a Monster!!!

But the best part was just the time spent together sitting in the paddock talking about nothing in particular, just enjoying each others company.

Ain't life grand

P.S. For any new members that don't know who Harry is, he is my 10 year old son.

Ken, I had a special time tonight too with my 5 yr old son.
Just the two of us driving back home, talked about a lot of things, but the kicker was when he pointed up to the sky and said "isn't that Venus daddy ?"

I just melted.

Yes Ken, life is grand.

Say hi to the boys for me.
