Tarantula nebula

Tarantula nebula from last night, only did about 25 subs @ 37 secs. I had DSS leave out subs with less than 1400 stars. Total time was 13 mins, will be doing more subs tonight as long as the clouds keep away.

ISO 1600
37 sec subs
5 inch newt
heq5
edited in digital photo professional with minor touches to brightness and contrast and +2 on orange, yellow, aqua, purple and magneta. Cropped to cut out the comas.

Thanks for looking

Karl, I had a play with this shot of yours and was able to gain a fair bit more detail that's hidden in your data. The point is, you have some good data in your captures that your processing isn't revealing, try not to clip your blacks so much and you'll be amazed at what's lying within.

I also had a play and came up with this in photoshop, there is a lot of detail in your shot as Michael pointed out, hope you don't mind.

Karl please try startools.
You can get a trial version but like it been said I think that you have more that you could get out of your images via processing.
Anyways well done.

I created a separate layer and upped the exposure, then with a layer mask cut back on the overexposed areas and blended them together. Took 5 minutes

Really nice work. Nice detail and colours

For a small amount of short exposures you have there on small scope your detail is very good.

Thanks for all the comments, I'm planning of having another go at this nebula with a lot more subs. I have a coma corrector coming too, I'm excited to see what I can achieve.
