Prawn via startools

A small step forward.
Used star tools and finally started with images that were aligned.
still a long way to go but I think this is better than the first one I posted. Could not get the colour my daughter was able to produce

Amazing image !! Your really getting great use out of Startools
I’m still weaving my way through all the modules , so so much to learn
On another note , I finally got my PHD2 guiding working last night, picked a random star field ,auto selected a star, started looping , hit PHD and was guiding around 2.9 to 3.5 arc seconds , couldn’t believe it. Took a 3 minute test exposure and no trailing just sharp stars. I’ve been trying off and on for weeks , hopefully it wasn’t just good luck

Anyway keep going with Startools !! Great software
Cheers
Martin

Thanks Martin as usual it does not look half as good when I finished.
I thought the stars were much brighter.
But I am slowly learning.
And my data looking at it now is not flash.
Great to hear PHD is working.
My first run was probably the best I ever had☺

The detail in the pic is great Alex, such a vibrant red.
What size scope are you using?

Hi Karl
The image was my first go at narrow band.

ZWO1600 8 place filter wheel on heq5 thru an 80mm espirt triplet refractor.

I should mention that I am colour blind so it is no doubt not correct colour.
