My Corona...

I've been meaning to image this region for years, but it always misses out due to clouds or my lack of "cold weather commitment". I finally had a crack at it last Friday night, although only 60 minutes (12x5min) until the transparency plummeted.

I could not this 1979 song out of my head while capturing and processing:

My word, how the years speed by!

Hi Jeff,

A very nice photo of a beautiful part of the sky, especially with just 60 minutes exposure.

Good luck with adding more exposure to the photo.

As to your choice of song.......maybe the cold weather did get to you..

...although...I'm pretty sure I saw them at the Hordern Pavillion way back then!......

Ross.

Sorry to dredge up that old song Ross.
It was pretty popular at my local roller skating rink in the day....

A lovely image. Well done.

Close examination shows a large number of dark blotches. They're subtle and not spoiling the picture, but they're worth mentioning because they can be due to corresponding light blotches in the master dark. If so, very easy to fix, even after the event, with a deeper stack of darks, and statistical outlier rejection on the dark stack.

Best,
Mike
