Horsehead test shot

I’ve been waiting for a chance to get a shot at the Horsehead nebula. One day I want to take a picture of it good enough to blow up and hang on my lounge room wall.

Anyway about a week ago I got up early and took a few subs as the sun was coming up. This is my first ever glimpse of it. Just a test really, no calibration and only two subs. I can’t wait till later in the year so I can have a serious go at this thing.

Nice shot.... just think of the aperture you'd need to see the Horsehead like that visually....

Well done Gavin.
You have arrived when you can nail the Horse Head.
Just keep gathing data and keep on stacking.
Well done.
