Wide angle moon with Canon 400D & 12.5"

Hi everyone,

Was playing around for the first time with my new 400D and trying to see what image scale I will get with this set up at prime focus wiht my 12.5" so took a snap of the moon.

Attached in a single shot that has been sharpened (perhaps overly) and adjusted in brightness and contrast.

I guess the image scale looks good for eclipses and occultations at this stage.

John.

Niiiiice. Not burnt out in the centre like many very gibbous shots tend to be.

Great image John, it's turned out quite nice indeed.
The rays are showing up beautifully.

Cheers
