Helix /314L/HaOiii

Hello everyone

Lot to learn, but this is my first narrow-band bi-color image
Not enough data, but weather is not kind this winter in SA
Used Atik's 314L+ (@-18deg) with GSO 6RC with CCDT67, Astrodon Ha 5nm and Oiii 3nm on a CGEM-DX.
Lot's of frustration with hardware... the CCD not happy with USB3 ... initially tried Celestron's off-axis guider, no luck to get it to focus with the CCDT67 .... hrrrr ...stay with guide scope
Freeze my particles before I had things going ... 3x10min subs for each filter ... clearly not enough, but it's a start.
Processing is with DSS and PS with Annie's Astro Actions plug to help with PS processing (not much skills here).

Cheers for looking and comment

Mick

Nice work Mick and a good and colourful result given such short integration.

A good outcome given the few subs Mick. It should encourage to stick with sorting out the technical bugs. It will be worth it in the long run.

Yes indeed Rodney, I've got the narrow-band imaging bug now

It's raining here so the EQ mount is in the shed for a bit of worm-gear adjustment... hopefully for the better.

Not sure if it worth pursuing the Helix Nebula with SII for Hubble Palette?

Yes, good point. Generally PNs don't present much in SII. I imaged this object a couple of years back and only grabbed the Ha and OIII channels.
