I just erected a new Hills Hoist! A very Aussie thing to do..... Has anyone else noticed that once you get to about 550mm deep a hole never seems to get deeper???

Big day for us...we became citizens!...

After that, it will be back to unpacking boxes...with maybe a dip in the pool (weather permitting)...

Cheers All!

Great to see everyone is enjoying themselves, it's been a warm relaxing day out my way and might even get a chance for a spot of imaging later on.

Cheers all

I must admit I felt realy Aussieish today installing a new Car Audio head in my car. I have not done this before and It went well.
Congrats Scott. Now u can put on some thongs, a hat with corks hanging on it, and throw a shrimp/snag or two on the Barbie and relax.

It is great to see clear skies, Comet McNaught here i come..

BTW for an Ex-Indian Citizen like me its also Indian Republic day. A double celebration.

Regards

For all my friends down under I wish a Happy Australia Day,

afaik it remembers for arrival of the fleet of the 11 ships which sailed from Great Britain in May 1787 to establish the first European colony in New South Wales.

Congratulations Scott - good on ya bloke!

Some local "friends" who moved over here from South Africa a few years ago also became citizens today - they are hanging a new sign outside their shop tomorrow which reads:
"Now PROUDLY Australian owned"

Congrats to all the new Aussies everywhere!

I wonder if anyone was honoured for their services in the field of Astronomy be it amateur or professional.
No one rang me.
