Mega shrimp with Mosaic

Here's my first shot from the SPSP 2018 break at Placidus, MBJ's place. I did two nights of Ha only, no colour, with the old Q and a QHY9/Ha 7nm on the G11. This is IC4628 - 24x10min taken last night actually from near Orange.

Guided with PHD 1, capture in Nebulosity 2.5.
Calibrated in CCD Stack, drizzle integration in PixInsight, deconvolution in Startools and final seasoning in PS CS5.

[6672 x 4992 - 11.8MB]

[3336 x 2496 - 4.2MB]

I have another panel lower to mosaic that I'll add later on.
Enjoy the view.

PS: now added second panel, not as sharp and a little noisy, but you can see the full mane. Reprocessed left panel now (same links)

[6866 x 4765 - 14.7MB]

[4578 x 3177 - 7.9MB]

[2289 x 1588 HD - 2.4MB]

Où est le vert? Je suis complètement inconsolable. Sans vert, ce n'est rien. Avec du vert, ce serait magnifique

Thanks guys.
Monochrome. The green is implied Yeah the big one is fun to browse. Nicest details I got to date considering the image scale of my combo and nice contrast too. That comes with dark skies.

Marc that turned out wonderfully! That's the first time we've seen a really detailed image of the area that also shows the full extent of it all. Brilliant!

Best,
MnT

Too true Peter. The best Ha I've seen was from people like Monte Wilson and Rob Greaves both using TAK scopes. The old Q is an absolute pita to keep in focus but if you manage to hold it long enough the results are chalk and cheese. The only downside of having such a sharp scope really. I still have a slight field rotation that I could get away with on 10min subs but that's my PA on the day in a grassy field. Can't ask for too much.

Great looking image, Marc A jumbo shrimp worthy of the name, unlike the ones you find on the menu in the USA

Wow – loved the full res version!

It took me a few seconds to figure out it was taken with the FSQ and not the Mewlon!

Cheers

Thanks Dennis. It would be cool if the mewlon had a field that wide and well corrected

Well done there! Such a field!

The new section looks like two giant faint and feathery wings disappearing off to top right. Didn't know that they were there.

Yeah it goes on for a while. I;ve got an hyperstar shot of it that shows the extensions better but not as well resolved.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think I'm going to repro the right panel. The rejection is not up to scratch and I reckon I left a few subs in there with bad FWHM.
