I just spoke to Mike. The weather is perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. Perfect seeing.
Everybody there drove to the top of the hill to see the comet. Mike was trying to describe the comet but he was so excited he couldn't get the words out to describe how great it looked. (In all these years I've never known him to be lost for words, so it must have been good viewing!

)
They'll be doing it again tomorrow night (goes without saying really), which for the first part of the night, will most likely see 140+ people looking west.
Anyway, that's all I could get from him with the bad mobile reception at Lostock. The first day of IISAC 2007 hasn't disappointed, it seems!
