The Comet

Hi Guys just captured this 10mins ago from my back yard, 400mm Canon Lens Canon 5D

Lucky to get it through the clouds.

Well captured Leon, it was really bright tonight and the tail was much more visible.

I agree Guys, it sure was a sight to behold, shame it isnt much higher and in dark skies, boy would that tail glow.

Hi Leon, The spot is good and has a great view it's just been a case of first the smoke haze then it was the clouds, last night was a thunderstorm and cloud cover (no rain).
So far today it's heavy cloud cover again.

Yea Ric there is thick clouds here today as well, hopefully it will clear a bit by tonight, even if it is patchy one can still take an image in the bright spots, I hope.......Good Luck for tonight Ric.

wow thats awesome... does it look like that to the naked eye or was this on high zoom?

Complete cloud cover again here tonight, although it's clearing overhead now... a bit late though... anyone know of an anti-cloud dance?

Yes it dose look very bright BLITZWING, but a little zoom dose help it for sure.
and Ric, that's a bummer, it's totally clouded here to mate, yea, and time is running out

Leon, I think that is the best pic of McNaught I have seen from anyone anywhere in the world. The tail is soooo looooong!
