Map of LMC

Had a great time last night with the LMC but cannot find a good chart of it in any of my software, atlases or on a web site.

Does anyone know of the location of a good map please? It would be great to get in there and have a really good dig around.

Thanx

Hi Rob

In the early 1990's a set of chatrst for both clouds was generated by Matti Morel. You can find details at
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~morel/
These Charts are fantastic and the best thing to have when observing the clouds. I have been using them for over 15 years and used the SMC chart for my SMC web page observations.
You can also use the Herald Bobroff Astro Atlas as they also have quite detailed maps for both clouds.
NONE of the computer programmes come close to the detail in the Morel charts.
Hope this helps
Andrew
