Ups express

Put my order in for an TS 130mm Triplet Apochromat FPLT53.. Box, reducer, etc last Thursday afternoon and its due morrow morning from Germany...Customs delays though ..who knows.

Once again UPS has phoned me up the day before and after work time, and I've paid the customs charges over the phone ...Easy as..
Thats why I prefer to use them, and a very small fee.

This is for the benefit of others who have not used UPS EXPRESS.
They've been great so far, as has Teleskop Express ...keeping my fingers crossed for tommorrow though.

Wavy missed your post.
Another scope to go with an 9 .25 Sct and 10 dob other small refractors etc.

Prob mostly visual Doubles , Planetaries and Planets, some imaging ..but only very short stacks...don't particularly like diffraction spikes or diffraction rings for tight doubles.

Wide field will be useful for clusters comets as well ..didnt buy this for deep sky though ..others will be much better than this ...would have normally gotten a doublet ed slightly better contrast ...BUT .. if I want too sell it one day being a triplet will make it much more saleable ...a lot of triplet Apo madness on forums these days , it seems flavour of the month now ..it used to be Big Maksutovs as you would know...Whats next?

This beast just arrived at 2pm.

So far ...fantastic ...A testement to Telescop Service and UPS Express less than a week really , if counting hours. Paid the Import Duties over the Phone ...easy.
Now if the weather clears .. a Star test ..Wolfi says great ..but thats for me to decide.

PS: Put some more low res pics in Show us your equipment section.

Between you and me I think it's safe to assume that it's going to remain cloudy for the whole weekend mate. I just had my mount returned after servicing and also took delivery of a new C9.25. Sorry everyone ;(

I am amazed by how quick UPS are - ordered a AP telecompressor from TS, and the damn thing turned up in less than 4 days. Took Australia post longer to send an item from NSW...
