ETX 125 package on ebay...

I'm posting this without comment - "just the facts maam" as it were, for general information.

First, here's the link to the item for sale:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Meade-ETX-125...QQcmdZViewItem

There's an interesting icon next to the sellers name - when you click on it you get another information screen:

There was a previous ebay add for the same package:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Meade-ETX-125...QQcmdZViewItem

2 quotes from the add:

"The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."
(there was no apparent error in the listing I could find)

and

"This is a quick listing description to get it back on ebay, it was removed before for certain reasons."

Perhaps Ving you may have seen a very recent IIS thread on this same item on ebay. It is now locked and in the "buy sell trade" archives.

Well spotted, Steve.

Ving, I think it's a pretty safe bet that this was the same scope sold last week here on IIS: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=14904

Unfortunately with IIS having grown so large, membership approaching the 2000 mark, not everyone is here for a warm and fuzzy group hug.

But I personally have nothing against people buying and reselling stuff for profit, astro gear or anything else. What I despise is dishonesty.

Steve I really wish that everyone WAS here for a warm and fuzzy hug .... well, something a little more restrained perhaps.

I have met so many wonderful people on this forum in my 10 months or so here, quite a few of them face to face, and so many more in text only whom I do hope to meet face to face someday, and I can only say I have never found such a welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring group of people anywhere else on the net.

I like to think that we look out for each other, and that anything done by a forum member is done with honesty and integrity.
