Thank you for the link Jacques, interesting how many names the 'Moon' actualy has. I think Australia use similar names for the 'Moon' as the American's though I might be wrong?

Yes I know that ,they refuse to speak English to visitors from other parts of Canada and including other countries which really is a pain,that would be like Greeks,Italians,etc refusing to speak English here when you went into buy something in a shop or restaurant. He lives in a English speaking country they lost the war with England ,get used to it.I know I will never visit there again and they "can" speak English when it suits there needs.

ok about english and french in canada

I do no go to political post but

the canada are built by 2 nation french and english at beginning they are about egual now we are about 6,000,000 of french and 14,000,000 english or emigran

we have a big fest in 2008 for the first arrival of champlain the fondation of quebec city the oldest cuty in north america that have continuous occupation
400 years

we speak to everybody in english when we know the english
we can live here whiout learning english or so
and some live here in montreal a french city whiout learning french

but sometime like me I learn english by my work electronic and the electronic book do not have a lot of vocabulary like you ca see

for exemple some american tel me I have a grade 5 of secondary student language ok for me
and when I try to read national geography I have to have a dictioonary near me the vocabulary is more elaborated and it is ok

end of political post because here it si political we are only 6,000,000 in a mare of 400,000,000 of american and wverybody love the way we mix american way of life and french

it is a bit probaly like you are not rostbeef like I see in a film you do not like somebody tel you that
here we are not american or english canadian

only a very specific way of life
and I ope we can find a lot of new name for the moon

we have some for now very promise

I think i know of one aussie named annual full moon - I think, i stress i think, that the first moon of spring is called a 'Wattle Moon' i could of imagined that tho?

Jack, i reckon as easter is determined by the 3rd or 4th? full moon of the year,

sometimes I may have heard the full moon in question close to easter called the 'easter moon' but thats not particularly indigenous to locals/dinky di, and a bit generic of course - sorry - i'm trying here aussies dont tend to get into that kinda stuff very much at all, we're not an overly romantic/poetic language/lore lot by nature hehe - pragmatic i think its called, i think we have only ever had two poets LOL! and one was called ned kelly? (unless its humorous poetry of course, then we got a few )

hmmm now i seem to think i remember hearing of a 'Drovers moon' with drover being kinda an aussie cowboy who is moving cattle/stock over long distances on a cattle drive on horseback. i thought it was in a thread here somewhere but all i come up with is this on from earlier this year
