Setting up - mad or what!

Well...

It's looking nice and clear outside, if a little windy.

I'm setting up for another crack at imaging the ringed wonder

Fingers crossed it'll be nice and steady in the small hours of tomorrow morning.

Only one more week of annual leave to go. Gotta make the most of it after the shocking weather of the first few weeks.

Yeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

it looks a bit hit and miss there actually, a bit of cloud about on Satellite photo, but you might be lucky to get a glimpse.

Yeah.

Although it does look to be clearing quite nicely from the west and the cloud to the south looks to be contracting in that direction. Hardly any cloud at all right now.

I'm willing it to be clear.

Watch this space! (or rather ... watch the solar system forum)

Thanks Bird

The wind's dropped right off.

Still some small cloudy patches about but not looking bad from that perspective.

Stars twinkling a bit

You having a go tonight/this morning?

Hi Matt, It's looking pretty good at the moment and I was tempted to set up the 12" as well, but it's my first day back to work after my holidays tomorrow. I had better look alert for at least the first day.

Have a good night.

Try not to work too hard. I can show you how that's done

I'll try and capture a nice Saturn for ya.

I'll be clearing the work and emails that's piled up from the last 3 weeks for the first couple of days
I had a good night the other night down the coast and had a great view of Saturn through the C8, so I'm keen to get a view with the 12" and a few images as well.

Cheers
