For Sale: 10in Orion full aperture Solar Filter. I bought it from a Canadian guy a while ago. It looks in good condition to me, but when I eventually got around to trying it out I discovered it is a tad too small for the Bintel 252
- still measures 308-310mm though, so it
could fit a 25cm scope that is 250mm exactly. I went and bought a Kendricks 10in Dob/ 12in SCT model that is oversize and has knobs to tighten it to fit, so the other one should go.
It is a solid glass(?) filter, not one with the crinkly film. I believe it gives an orange image. Good to see our source of light, heat and radiation safely, get into sunspots and the inner life of the star. Get into imaging - take pics, show 'em to folks.
Price is $AUD100 plus Postage. i paid $105CDN plus. (so no money made, condition same) I will not get a chance to get a quote or mail it out til Thursdays and Fridays.
