Yes, he's still alive, but barely by the sounds of it. He's on life support and family have got orders for do not ressusitate, so Ch7 reports as of 10am.

US media had earlier reported the 66-year-old rocker had died, but there are now conflicting reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department appeared to have played a part in the confusion, and apologised on Twitter for "inadvertently" providing information to some media outlets.
Earlier CBS News tweeted LAPD confirmed the rocker's death but TMZ reported he was still clinging to life but there was a do not resuscitate order on him.
Unfortunately Tom has passed away and his management has confirmed
this in a statement a short while ago.

"He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. PT surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends."
