Scoptronix in the US - anyone ordered from them?

I placed an order with scopetronix over a week and a half ago and apart from an automated confirmation email I have heard nothing from them.

I have sent an email requesting progress of the order but still nothing. Has anyone had dealings with Scopetronix at all and if so is this typical of there approach to sales?

Don't know if theres any forum rules against this, but DON'T ORDER FROM SCOPETRONIX!

Read on several places that they are not replying to emails or shipping goods for the last couple of months. If you paid by credit card then you would be best to contact your bank and recover your money.

Hi Paul

I have ordered goods from Scopetronix a while ago (> 12 months) and they were reliable and efficient.

HOWEVER, I have read on Sci.astro.amateur that for the last several months, people have been experiencing enormous difficulty in getting orders fulfilled and e-mails replied to and the advice has been "DON'T ORDER FROM SCOPETRONIX" until the owner/operator problems have been sorted out.

Some posters were very concerned that the web server that accepts orders has not had a warning notice placed on it to advise of the delays and contact difficulties.

Hope your purchase comes through.

Cheers

Dennis
