Shipping from US to OZ

Apologies in advance for asking a question which has no-doubt already been asked on this forum.

But can anyone tell me the best (most cost effective) option for shipping an OTA in its box from the USA to Australia???

I don't think USPS will do it.

I'm looking at possibly a C11 or Carbon Fibre OTA 9.25. They're similar sizes in their original double shipping box.

Many thanks

Yeah your right...USPS wont do it.

You can try UPS
http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_AU

OR fedex
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?cntry_code=us

But they wont be cheap.

If your going to have to pay GST and custom fees I would prefer to deal with UPS or Fedex anyway...its much easier.

Stay away from USPS for items over the $1000 value.

The CF 9.25XLT scope includes mounted Losmandy rail and 9 X 50 right angle finder. Also includes custom-made padded carrying case with large accessory pocket.

Asking $1045 US.

Works out to be $1325 OZ before adding shipping costs

What do you think?

Sounds pretty good,

Just remember it will be closer to the $2000AUD once you add shipping custom and paypal fees if thats what you use.

You won't be able to return it very easily, so make sure it's worth it
