Sculptor NGC 253 - suburban Sydney

Its only just making an appearance late at night but thought I would try it anyway and get an early start on it
RC10 ASI1600 30x60s RGB 3hr Lum 4.5hr total

Thanks the Lum has much more detail just need to work out how to get the most out of it

Nice colour and resolution! I've always struggled with the colour balance with this galaxy but yours is good

Thanks I know what you mean about the colour I see a lot where it's very green for some reason

Nice one Mark ...funnily enough NGC 253 was the subject of one of my images on my first ever night of LRGB CCD imaging (manually changing filters!) using my 12" Meade SCT in 2003 from suburban Canberra skies.

Yours is much better

Absolutely, you seem to have the right approach, ie enthusiastic but don't take this pastime toooo seriously and you enjoy yourself, all ingredients to happy success free of anxiety...and aperture..?..mount..?...camera..umm m?...observatory...automation fever

Yeah you have to enjoy it and every time I take a pic it amazes me what we can do now from the comfort of your backyard. All the other stuff I've already got lol Although I am eyeing of a bigger mount to pile everything on together
