NGC104 - 47 Tuc

Our old friend 47 Tuc taken with my TSA120 and QSI683.

Limited the exposures to 30 seconds per sub to try and avoid over saturating the image. Approximately 60 exposures per channel LRGB. Processing in Pixinsight 1.8.5 and my first run with the new PhotoMetricColorCalibration tool.

Link to Astrobin image here.

Clear skies,
Rodney.

Very nicely done, Rodney

Great colours and a nice wide FOV.

Thanks David. I did resist the temptation to crop in a bit closer as I felt that the cluster needed a bit of space to properly present itself.

That is extremely nice indeed! Takahashi sharp, and truly beautiful colours.

Sparkling presentation. The blacks are very slightly clipped, but it probably doesn't affect the image much.

Lovely!

Thanks Mike. It's getting into 47 Tuc season I guess so we may just see a few more of them rolling in

Nicely resolved Rodney and the colour looks great! Nice to see it away from the whiter versions

Thanks Rick, for the white reference I wasn't sure what to pick with the new tool so I took a punt and accepted the default of Average Spiral Galaxy. The only other parameters that I changed were the image parameters so that the tool could look up the correct reference.

Average spiral is my usual preference too. G2V is a bit too red for my tastes.
