The cat got me.

He tried to get out.
I grabbed him.
Big mistake.
Home alone couldn't find needle and thread but pulling back hand with bailing twine closed the really deep wound.
Multiple bites and scratch es
Hand, swelled badly Sat could not drive.
Did not say anything cause you all would say go to doctor.
I have now .
Got anti biotics
Felt no pain until next day when it became bad.
Only having one hand made everything difficult.
Doctor surprised the extent of damage.
He is a big cat and has nice nature I freaked him out so my fault. Norwegian Forrest cat.
Typing with left thumb
Chemist said I was third cat victim this week.

Cats are nasty - they torture & kill native animals.
And they torture Alex, too!

Yes he is large. Biggest tail I have seen.
I have not seen a cat try to get at,a dog but he jumps at the door if the dogs come by and frankly my money would go on the cat.

Sorry to hear you scarred your friend Alex. He didn't mean to hurt you I'm sure. I know you know this anyway.

Sewing your own wounds doesn't work well anyway. The sutures (unless sterile themselves) normally become infected. There's also the pain of self suturing to manage. I once had to sew 4 stitches to the inside of my lip in the mirror with cotton when I had a bad injury. In the following days I had to get them removed and redone due to infection.

Glad you're ok now.

Cats are beautiful and wonderful, but are best left alone if they pump up their tails. Ours live indoors but sometimes jump at the window if they see something exciting outside. Best to leave them alone until they calm down. Your cat looks awesome. Our cats used to go outside. We once had a half Manx cat that saw off the neighbours German Shepherd. Inter species misunderstanding.

If only there was more responsible cat owners like yourself Alex. Our neighbourhood is teeming with domestic cats let loose causing a nuisance and killing local wildlife. It's one of my pet hates!

Good on you.
Julian.
