Bought - everything that is in my signature (see below) + naglers brought through Astromart.
Sold - nothing (all to good to sell) , having said that I could be tempted to sell the 26mm QX Wide Angle that came with the 12" LB - if the right 27mm Pan came along.
Fear of retribution - None
Cheers Petra

LOL, I will probably refrain from entering a post now, as I could have quite a list, for both.

Hmm, I have a small list..
Bought:
CFW-8 for my ST7
Orion Accufocus
3 point ring set
Sold:
QuickCam Pro 4000
Also.. I have had machined up by a neighbour for negligable cost:
- mounting bar for ring set
- adaptor tube allowing my F/6.3 reducer optics to slide inside my 2" draw tube
Pretty small list of purchases I'm happy to say. It's nice to make good use of what one has without having to buy lots more. I wish I could have bought some free time...
Roger.

Bought in 2006 - a newbie's list
Hi,
Looking back on this an interesting effect emerges...
Sold: nothing yet of course
Bought:
*200mm Bintel DOB 2nd hand with one 2" 32mm EP and a Cheshire collimator - $300, and then it began...
*Bintel Plossls, 9mm (only usable right in the centre of FOV), 15mm (bit better), 25mm (enjoyable) - $97
*Meade 2x Barlow (not impressive, mainly used now for Barlowed collimation) - $76
*Bintel laser collimator (had to collimate the collimator, not difficult) - $69
*RA Bintel finderscope (essential for my neck!) - $99
*4 Bintel colour filters (uninformed purchase really, I have yet to use them much) - $60
*2 Bintel moon filters (these I have used a lot) - $30
*Telrad finder (very handy, recommend it) - $89
*Astronomik UHC filter (makes a difference, but not startling) - $135
and I'm not finished for 2006, if I can get there soon enough I am going to purchase a Bintel 10:1 Crayford focuser (completely fed up with the standard one) as long as it does not have too much slop in the barrel travel. If it does, hmmm jump to WO or JMI), and I think an 8mm Orion Stratus.
Now the effect I spoke of....all these extra goodies which I found I absolutely must have, add up to more than twice what I paid for the old DOB!!
So what? Well, I think for someone starting like me:
-get stuff that can be usefully kept for the next telescope or
-get stuff that will add to the saleability of the old scope
The more of the former I collect, the nearer I think that Lightbridge is getting. It seems to be a cyclical thing, I am now buying ahead of the telescope I have.
Good fun
Geoff
