Had a similar problem myself, If you drag the two line status bar off into a seperate toolbar, then sumarilly dismiss it by closing , then exit CDC and save settings the thing doesnt come back. I gave up and reinstalled. I Know thats not too helpfull...

There is a version 3 available (beta... still somewhat buggy but perhaps different ones are obvious:-)
It has some nice new features...

Have you tried clicking the view tab and ticking the status bar option?

Sorry Mick, but I don't understand. How does that help?

The Status Bar is ticked, but what has that got to do with knowing which CDC is the latest version?

getting some strange answers here.

All I want to know is which one is the latest CDC?

If you look at the Screenshot, there are several versions to download. I just wanna know which one. I have circled the options with red. I realise that the top one on the right has 'latest' written next to it, but doesn't 'Beta' mean its under testing?

Thanks Vingo, but I already have 2.76. It's the mention above of the Version 3 that has me interested.

Hi guys,
V2.76 is the latest released version.
Version 3 is actually Beta 3.0.1.2, here : http://www.ap-i.net/skychart/index.php
Give it a try it looks interesting, some things are done differently...
It will install itself in the same directory, but you will still have the old version available for use (I guess the old version will be overwritten once the proper release is ready)

WOW!!! It is VERY different! Heaps better!

And this version you can scroll around instead of clicking 'centre' to move around the screen.

In version 2.76 the dragging of the field was possible, but with the third button (or both mouse buttons pressed at the same time, this depends on the mouse).
Yes, version 3 seems to be very promising :-)
