17/12/06 xmas Fireworks Shots from Speers Point (taken from Teralba) Lake MacQuarie

Mr alder reminded me that the carols by candlelight was on at Speers Point, with fireworks at 9.30pm, so I rushed over to Teralba (left home at 9:15 got there and set up with 3 minutes spare then they started. I didnt get the best of images due to lack of setup time, but hey you get what you can.

ISO 200, 15 second exposures, canon 350D non modded with Sigma 18-200 lens on tripod and being eaten alive by mozzies

Excellent shots huffy. I'll have to show them to HRH, she grew up in that part of Newcastle.

GRRReat shots. Can almost smell the smoke.

BTW, we were blacked out the night before last for many hours, and the kids and I had a ball with light sticks and camera. Thanks for the tip.
