For the last few weeks I haven't been able to get any pass predictions for the ISS out of Satscape. Has anyone else experienced this or know why not? ISS still appears in the list, but no pass predictions appear... everything as normal for other satellites,
I update the keps and satellite database every time I use the program. Just thought I'd seen the ISS, but had to resort to Heavens-Above to find that it was actually Rosat that I saw...
I don't have a problem finding pass prediction info from the web... just with Satscape over the pass few weeks. Something has changed and I don't know what. It does the same thing on both my lappy and desktop.
The main reason I use Satscape is so I can refer to it when I'm out in the field away from internet connection...
No, Mick, I haven't tried Orbitron. I might have a look at it.
FYI it seems the problem with Satscape is that NORAD have changed the format and/or naming convention for the Keplerian elements... I've just installed an updated .dll file but without rebooting there is no observable change so far.
There was also a lot of talk about editing the keps files to correct names, etc on the Satscape discussion group... I just had a look and the names in my files are OK so I'm not launching into that just yet...
