I found this link interesting and want to share it with all. Those having SCTs of various sizes including some Meade SCTs can now reduce their effective F/ratios to f2. At present not all sizes are catered for however this might change down the track a bit. There are some very impressive images taken with the HyperStar, and elsewhere I have seen some good images acquired with a digital rebel, instead of an sxv or what have you..

Ken, Celestron have had this system for years, they called it 'faststar'.
the cables running across the corrector plate should only produce a diffraction spike I guess, never used the system so I can't speak from experience.
The interesting thing is - unlike the farstar - you can get good FOV. The 14" version will fully cover a DSLR, but I don't know what the star images would be like on a fullsize image (the samples I have seen a too small to tell).
I'd say his focus is out a tad, and 35 seconds was too long
maybe 30+ x 25 or 30 seconds might help tame the lens flare.
This was one of this guys first light images with the hyperstar so judge it with that in mind.

These are the images I have seen, but they are downsized at least 3x. Still pretty promising, 700mm focal length with 14" of aperture behind it is pretty awesome! Definitely a firehazard for anyone attempting long exposures
I could find any specs for it, eg spot sizes, vignetting, etc. Have you seen anything?
