M104, work in progress

This is a work in progress on M104, using the Sharpstar 107PH and the ZWO ASI1600MM-C at -15C, Gain 77, Offset 13.

This is one night's data. 33 x 2 min RGB, 103 x 1 min L. Assuming I can get some clear skies, I'd like pile on a lot more L data. I think I've got enough RGB data, so getting a few more hours of L would be good.

Wide view with some bright stars:

Feedback, comments, etc welcome.

Thanks Kevin. I think it's got a lot of potential and hopefully I'll draw more out of it over time. Make sure you keep an eye on the competitors though, e.g. QHY, etc as their offerings might be just as good or better - there's a lot of incremental changes coming through quickly that's improving these cameras.

Thanks Rick. Can you do something about these pesky clouds? I'd really like to finish one of these images sometime.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, eventually... and looking at the forecast it's going to be close to the full moon. So more delays.

I'll work on a NB target then I guess.

I like the overlay with all those PGC galaxies circled, and present and correct in your image.

The overlay was generated using a script within PixInsight. It's a 2 stage process to image solve first, then run the script to generate the image with the overlay.

I really hope with more data I can make a few more of those PGCs more visible.
