AS&T Jan/Feb

There are some great articles in the latest AS&T.
I liked the one Stop Renaming the Sky on page 96.
Its about the misuse of Caldwell numbers etc.
Another good article was Sleep and the Amateur Astronomer on page 42.
Must stock up on almonds and peppermints.
Two other interesting articles are Robert Evans:Supernova Champ (pg 40) and Deep Sky Delights: Summer Globulars (pg 57).
Wish I had Evans memory!

I agree Glen, got my copy yesterday too.

The review of the SkyScout looks very interesting - I can definitely see a use for it, and would be great to plan taking astro-terrestrial photos.

Mike's lovely M42 image is published, as well as Ken's full moon and h0ughy's young crescent moon. I also love Gary's meteorite through the horeshead image. Superb! Congrats guys!

Some great reading ahead.

Yes a good read, i found the sleep and the astronomer article very interesting.
I didnt realise that sleeping in darkness to a lit room had such an effect on your body.
