DSS error

Been trying to use Deep Sky Stacker to see if I can get a better quality stack of my data, but after a long wait, all I get is a message box without any messages and a OK box. When I look at the TIFF file, it is just a 1kb file, so basically nothing!
I tried using different stacking parameters but to no avail
I am trying to stack 160 raw files, 130 darks and 30 flats.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks
Bo

Are you sure your checking the files before you run it? In the dialog box do you see that it recognises that it has 160 files to process, darks etc andvthe cumulative time figure is correct? Have you used it successfully in the past? If not i would reinstall it and yry again, its pretty easy to use.

Thanks Glen,
I will have another go at getting the right version.
Interesting that the DSS site has v 3.3.2 and 3.3.4
I used 3.3.4, so will try and play with 3.3.2 and see what happens.

Bo,

hate to say it, but I got that message ALL the time with DSS, irrespective of what settings I used etc etc. Mono or OSC, or DSLR. Didn't matter. DSS just rarely worked for me. So, I went to CCDStack and never had a single issue since.

I know, it's pricey, but worth every cent. I know its not helpful in fixing DSS, but I simply could NOT fix DSS (and I have high-end laptops, and it still used to run out of memory on me etc - is there a true 64bit version of it????). CCDStack not only does what you want, but VERY quickly and with magnificent results, even using odd sizes together etc.

Thanks Lewis,
Yes, a proper paid version is something on the "do buy" list!
I will download the evaluation and have a play.
cheers
Bo
