Too close for comfort.

Had a bit of a close call last night while I was photographing a passing storm, one strike in particular was so close it knocked me to the floor. Just as I poked my head out of the window right in front of me the neighbouring block got hit, I thought I was hit to be honest.

It scared me but I think the kids got a bigger fright after hearing the boom(all I heard was a click) and then finding me in the hallway trying to work out if I was alive or not.
Talk about an adrenaline boost. Crikey.

Anyway I caught a heap of pics out of it and although I didn't capture the strike that knocked me over I did get the aftermath of it. You can see the double exposure as the camera moved in the blast.
Here is a selection of the better shots.

Definitely pretty close, very disorientating and pretty scary at the time too.
