ABC News - stargazing quiz

The ABC News has a stargazing quiz that will test your knowledge.
I got 8 out of 10 a bit disappointing.

The quiz is promo for the Brian Cox TV series as mentioned earlier.

Yep, I stuffed up one question too. I just couldn't remember which month. Still, that's a lot better than I do at the sports or news quizzes.

9/10 but I only got the number of constellations because I used to play piano ... it's the same as the number of keys on a piano.

The one that tripped me up was Crux visibility. Tricky b*stard!

10/10 - you can all stop now.

Had to think about a few though.

I hate to say it, 10 ./ 10 . Would have given my astro library and scopes away if I hadn't got the score.

Those who live there, or who have been to Qld at the right time have a bit of an advantage there. I've seen Crux below the horizon (or rather, not seen it) a couple of times.
Australia's north makes it almost up to the equator, causing there to be only a couple of actual circumpolar constellations.

Same. The only one I wasn't 100% sure on was the Geminids.

10 outa 10. I had to think about the Geminids though, and to be honest I made a guess which was correct. I really don't deserve that one, so it should be 9 outa 10.
