Would you rather clothes or a Pentax for Christmas?

My wife asked me the other day what I would like for Christmas and I replied with a number of suggestions ranging from various DVD sets, star atlas or Pentax XW-5. Eventually she settled on the Pentax after a bit of convincing. She doesn't think it would be "much of a Christmas present". She was thinking of perhaps some clothes, I know I need some shirts and trousers etc but I am not exactly walking around naked yet! I said to her that most on IIS would think the eyepiece would be a great present.

So I am after some confirmation that she is doing the right thing. Does it sound like a good idea? Or should I opt for the clothes option after all?

Clothes will get old, fade and tear but a Pentax has a lifetime warranty (I think)...

While she is in the negotiating mood try for 2 pentax eyepieces and tell her you will skip your next birthday present...by that time she would have forgotten the original agreement and get another pentax eyepiece....lol

The Pentax for sure Mrs One, he needs that! ESPECIALLY considering that, as noted above, we ar enow at the "completing the collection" stage. Everyone knows that a complete collection of anything should be worth twice what the individual items are worth alone.

The Pentax has been ordered, I just have to get it delivered to her workplace and forget what it is when I unwrap it. I wrapped her stuff last night, including a couple of DVDs, and to disguise them (they have a characteristic size and shape) I wrapped them with a few pieces of scrap timber from the garage. She doesn't have a clue what is in it!

Maybe she should try the same tactic with my present so I don't recognise it!
