I'm selling my next to new customised EQT-150SC Crossbow Equatorial Platform. This platform is designed to accept dobsonian telescopes up to 150lbs (68kg) and is black anodised.
The customising was carried out by Greg Blandin. The customising is the re-locatable Teflon pads to different distances so to accommodate different size diameter rocker boxes. These positions allowed me to fit either of my 8", 12" and 17.5" dobs onto the platform (my 17.5" dob weighs 48kg). I had it made for me so I can fit the ground board to the frame, and use the existing azimuth bearing of the scope (which can have different sized Teflon pads or make use of a lazy susan bearing).
The platform is designed for Sydney's latitude, plus or minus 5° by adjusting the levelling screws.
Runs on two AAA batteries.
I've used this platform for video astronomy, for which it is ok, but not for more serious astrophotography. For visual use, it is sensational with an hour's tracking before needing to be reset.
I've had this platform for less than a year, and used it only three times. Despite the best of my intentions the way I use my scopes I just don't make use of this eq platform.

I'm VERY interested in the Crossbow platform. I have a 16" Lightbridge that I believe will fit. I can pick up from Maroubra. Could I come to inspect? If so when are you free? If it's all goo I can by cash, back transfer, even paypal, whichever you prefer.
