M74 a first go!!!

Hi all again...,
Heres a image of M74 I took back in september. didn`t get around to processing to yesterday as it didn`t look very impressive on the camera and sort of got forgotten about.
Is a stack of 10 frames at 4 min at iso 1600, DF removed and stacked and processed in PS. Actually didn`t come out to bad considering I used 1600.
Will have to give it another go at a lower iso and more frames.
You can even just pick out a few little background fuzzies...
M74 must have a very low surface brightness for a messier object?
Cheers Gary

Thats a nice image image, the spiral arms have come out very nicely and the colours look quite good.

Nice job

You've capture M74. You can clearly see the spiral arms. Nice work. Perhaps longer exposures with a lower ISO will really bring out the fine details. Well composed image none the less. Good work.

hope you don't mind me working you image over.

Thanks Ric, Louie and Jase,
No probs there jase, I do the same with some posts (but don`t tell anyone--lol). Yep lower iso and double the frames should give a nice image!
Had a quick look on the net and there is not many M74 shots around to compare it with and didn`t find any on IIS..shall look some more..
Cheers Gary
