Alien

Wow, the new Alien: Covenant flick looks like a nice family film....also looks like it has the same storyline as the old ones...

I'll be seeing it, didn't mind prometheus, could have been better but was acceptable.

Alien, Loved it.
Aliens, Loved it even more, except maybe the elephant sounds.
Alien 3, can be scrubbed from the memory banks.
Alien Resurrection and the AVP franchises - Average Friday night pizza movies, entertaining enough.

Neill Blomkamp's suggestion that Ripley, Hicks and Newt make a comeback (somehow ignoring Alien3's plot) would have been nice.

Looking forward to it , I also really liked Prometheus , it was deeper than many give it credit for considering it was gutted .

If you utube all the cut scenes ( there are plenty ! , it was not Ridley's idea but the bean counters ) the whole movie takes on a more coherent theme .

I just hope this new movie gets the full time it deserves . .we will see ? .

Brian.

So glad the release date was brought way forward. The original August release was untenable to me, being a staunch Alien fan (hence my avatar).

This should fill in the gaps left too wide by the moronic editing of Prometheus. I already have a plot synopsis in my head, so will be interesting to see if I am correct. There was a MAJOR discussion of Prometheus on the Prom forum, guessing the missing bits, figuring things out etc, and it is well known that Ridley, Spaights and Logan read these posts.

Waiting with very baited breath PEE-EWW!

Lewis, any thoughts/news as to whether we will see Alien 5?

I've seen reports that it is on-hold until Covenant is released and will ignore the events in Alien 3 and Resurrection and reports that it will take all previous films into account.. I guess it's all just wild spec.

Unless Covensnt flops, I predict the series will continue, hopefully with Ridley at the helm (he is getting old...fingers crossed!)

Alien 3 wasn't entirely horrible, but 'Resurrection" was, well, Fwench

I also hope the terrible "cross over" of Alien and Predator dies the death it deserves. Just wrong on all levels and too, well, American lol
