Eta C ..

Stunning clear night last night, southerly blowing through. Eta C is in my Sth Eastern sky at present, not the best place and half a moon to contend with. EC only cleared the trees just after 11 pm.
So 59 mins of 30 sec frames @ ISO3200 on the 1200D with minimal processing required and slightly cropped.

Not a bad shot Brent. Is that with the 102mm f7? I suspect some more could be stretched out of it with a bit of masking.

Yes, the Lunt F7.
I know I can pull more out of it but I tend to prefer the more subdued natural shots myself. Very minimal processing on this, just a histogram stretch, basic levels and a wee bit of curves.
I could go layers and masking for more red. Might have another play with it just for the sake of playing, I'm not a fan of the Hubble palette style.
There is a lot more detail and smoothness in the TIF file but it's in the 25 meg size I think. Must say I am still quite impressed with how well the 1200D does this stuff.
