Think Iv'e Nearly Nailed M42

Hi Guys
Went out again last night at 2.30am, the sky wasn't that flash but i got in a few of M42, a bit better than the last one, so things must be improving.

ED80, Eq5 Mount, 10 @ 75 Sec's, processed in Image Plus and PS2

Cheers Leon

Very nice Leon. You've also nailed the "Running Man" nebula. He is lying on his back kicking his legs at the bottom of the image. I bet you’re pleased with that image; you've done a great job.

Cheers

Dennis

top stuff! do you think next time you could try to frame the image to fit more in. I found it to be better to take it sideways, but that's only an opinion

Thanks Dennis, and Houghy, yes Houghy i was so concerned about actually capturing it that i honestly didn't think of that, i agree it would look better framed long ways.

I'll keep that in mind the next night i have a crack at it.

Cheers leon

You will never stop learning..once you think you have mastered it you find something else to do just to make it that little bit better.

Good one Leon you have nailed that outer bit of nebulosity which is so hard to get. The harder you work the more good luck you get.. its good to see the work is paying off.

Good going leon!! not bad for such short exposures!!, If you can get 3-4min exposures you shall be able to get pretty deep..and a smooth background.
I don`t mind it framed the way you have either..just needs to be centered a bit better..
Cheers Gary
