Wow! That's a whopper, archbishop!!!!!

I guess the next question is how much does that thing weigh?

Size is one thing, but is it also heavy? These things can be deceptive.

And geeeeeee... that's a sweet rig Tony. You've gotta be happy with that (for at least the next 6 months!!!LOL)

4 pound.

Its about the same weight as my cooled canon 350D that had all the copper for cooling.

Once I get my guide head it will actualy be a lighter setup then having the 350D primary and ST402XME as a guide camera on the ED80.

So no weight isn't a problem.
Why wait 6 months..how about 3..lol

Looks awesome..... Size of things doesn't surprise me anymore, every astro-gadget I've bought is always twice the size I was expecting before I got it!.... Newt.... ED80..... G-11 (especially!)....

The point I was trying to get at was that sometimes (especially with some CCD cams) they can be quite large but surprisingly lightweight.

Good to see a real life pic of it on a familiar type of telescope - Thanks Tony.

Its a big sucker alright Tony!!
Don`t know whats in it that makes it weigh so much? heat sink for active cooling? can`t think of any other internals that would be heavy?
Hope you sort out the vignetting!! on this monster!!!
Cheers Gary

You're rubbing salt into my wounds Tony.
Mind had better arrive soon... I've stopped all forms of astrophotography in anticipation.
