there is registax v4 update now availble for all on the website (link below). it addresses a bunch of problems i didnt know existed!

Yep, I've started to get a bit frustrated with it. It's been pretty glitchy in MAP mode.

What sort of glitches you talking about Paul? I haven't noticed anything in particular (except that some little buggy things that annoyed by v3 are gone )

Little things like getting the message "unable to open the Avi" after doing a reference frame creation, not being able to open a bmp when aligning when Reg3 aligns the whole lot with np, not saving settings as previously used. Little niggly things. I found it really didn't like working MAP on Solar images.

I see.

Not that it's any help but I don't seem to be able to align solar images no matter what I use! I'm hoping maybe I can learn a few new tricks at Lostock...

yeh i'm looking forward to it too, i've had the occassional frustrating experience.

Now just need some clear skies and some good data.
