Carina Software "Voyager" planetarium s/w - anyone used it?

Has anyone else used this offering before?

I was just looking around the net last night for any new (to me) planetarium software that I could download a trial of. I came across Carina Software who used to specialise in Mac OS9 & OSX-based packages, but moved into Windows some time ago too. They have downloadable trials for "Voyager 4" (OSX) and "Voyager III" (Windows) which I downloaded. Both are knock-out systems that will do everything I'll probably ever need of a package like this, and are incredibly flexible in their setup. Both drive all the usual scope control protocols too. The Mac version has one great feature that I haven't found anywhere else yet - variable intensity red night mode - bright, medium and dark. Great stuff for field work.

The site is at http://www.southernstars.com/index.html so have a squizz if you are so inclined. It's an outdated site, so I'm not sure if they are still trading, but if they are I'm going to buy a copy for the Mac PowerBook I have. Take a look at some of the screen shots and you'll see how much power they've packed in to this thing. It seems as powerful and as user-friendly as Starry Night or any of the mainstream, high-end packages out there yet I've not heard of it until now.

Cheers
Chris

Well, I've loved the demo so far, to the point that I think it suits me better than either Starry Night or The Sky 6, so I've just forked out the hard earned and ordered a copy from the US. I'll try & write a review so that anyone else who is interested can judge for themselves as to wether or not it may suit them too.
