So what do you do when a Christmas get together is clouded over

Well for the Newcastle Astronomical Society its drags the bottom of the barrel and lets me turn up. They looked as though they had a lovely BBQ that started the day with promising skies then it turned Crappy with the smoke from the bush fires and some low cloud blocking out most of the skies. These images were taken by Scott Alder. Alan meehan also took some photos, I am sure he will post his UFO sightings

when I arrived they were sitting chatting about some fool with a green laser lighting up the locality about them, and for some reason they all charged at me. so I broke out my trusty supply of NYE glow bangles and thingys and the children were promptly at play . aaargh, well at least they had fun and I escaped back home

who cares about camera shake, these are as raw as one can get away with in the interests of fun

yes the thingys were my specialty, as Rob C and Paul, Dennis would remember from Duckadang. Yes I had it out again flaunting it in public, not even the vicious blood sucking hexham grey mosquitoes made me put it away. yes I had the GREEN LASER, haha hhoho, hehe (said with a twinge and a twitch in the face )

Hmmmm, I can't seem to find them in Cartes Du Ciel, Star Atlas or Starry Night Pro!

Nothing under NGC's, Messier, or IC catalogues.

Must be new objects under the Huffy Catalogue!

Not only didnt need a mount, took em hand held.
We could clearly see Houghy's green laser shining from his house before he came over, bringing the glow things.
Im off to Gloucester with family till Tuesday, see ya all then.

Cool houghy, I wonder if we are going to have the very same thing at Lostock? It would make for some colorful photos.
