Arrow Amazing Storm Photos!!!

These photos were (supposedly) taken during Hurricane Katrina.

They are the best storm pics I have ever seen.

Amazing stuff!

Awesome!!!

They look too good to be real. Like something lifted straight from a movie like "Twister".

Very cool

They are amazing photos but they are not of a hurricane. They are supercell and tornado images taken by a guy called Mike Hollingshead in Nebraska 2004.
Over the years they have shown up purporting to be various big storm photos, more recently Katrina photos and even a storm near Bunbury, Australia.
You can see the real details for the images here:

Ahhhh, thanks for clearing that up Apo.

They came in an email from a friend of Cheryls in USA. This American lady believes them to be Katrina pics as that's how they came labelled to her.

Still, amazing pics!

I've had a very small twister approach me many years back and to be
honest it got a little scary as it got close ..now one of those things
buzzing round in the distance sheesh I sure wouldn't be reaching for the camera or doing anything other than moveing very quick in the opposite direction

amazeing pics

Cheers Ken...they would have to be some of the best storm pics around. I never tire of seeing them.
Maybe we should start a severe weather section in here. It seems to go hand in hand with astronomy
