Royal Photographic Society (RPS)

Wondering if any IIS members are a part of the RPS group of photographers. They provide distinctions for showing technical photographic abilities that are well known in the media/photographic community. There is an Australian Chapter located in Victoria.

To the point, they also have a special interest group, Imaging Science. I was wondering if this also included astronomy or more specifically astrophotography. While many of us are happy taking photos of the night sky, it would be great to get some acredited recognition in the science field. Has anyone heard of RPS? Are you an active member? Can you shed some light on Imaging Science field?
