Thumbs up Welcome Gary Kopff!

to the forum Gary! Great to see you here.

Gary Kopff is the creator of the Argo Navis from Wildcard Innovations, the best telescope computer going around.

And he's a central coast local too! And add to that, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

Gary is heading out to Coonabarabran this weekend with the 20-strong visiting American contingent.. should be a fine weekend for sure!

But he's also planning to come to the May 7 IceInSpace Star Party on the central coast, so i'm looking forward to seeing you again there Gary.

I know you're a busy man, i'm not sure how much time you'll have to check out the forums but I do hope to see you back here when you get a chance!

Hi Mike, Robby & Anthony,

Thanks for the welcome from everybody!

Very cute and totally unexpected.

As I posted on another thread, Mai and I are going up to Coonabarabran this Thursday. So unfortunately we miss out on Kulnura this weekend.

However, John B. called and I have penciled in May 7th which we are really looking forward to.

Apologies to Rob & Mike, I haven't forgotten you guys and responses to Rob's last email is still forthcoming.

Once again, thanks for the welcome and kind words. We hope you all have been well.

Best Regards

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the welcome out to Kulnura.

Do you own/run the Paintball place?
We drive past it all the time. If so, thank you very much for your generous hospitality.

Do you know an amateur by the name of Andrew Murrell by any chance?

Best Regards

Hi Slice,

Thanks for the post and kind welcome.

You wrote -

Now and then we do donate Argo Navis units at star parties as lucky door prizes. So free samples are available now and then!

I encourage all IIS members to make it to the Queensland Astrofest held Aug 1st to 7th 2005. See http://www.qldastrofest.org.au/

It is a really relaxed star party with great facilities and it is not too far to drive from the Sunshine Coast.

And if you enter in their draw, you might even win a free sample!

Thanks again for the kind welcome.

Best Regards

Hi Gary, and Wellcome!
First of all I'll like to thank you for a great product the ArgoNavis and second it will be nice to finaly meet you at the Star party on May 7th.
I read in another post that you are meeting up with David Kriege, I would also like to thank him for the wonderfull book (The Dobsonian Telescope) without it I would not have this telescope that I have today.(And by the way I'm the bloke who submitted a photo of his telescope to you not long ago)

Hi RAJAH235,

Thanks for the welcome and greetings to all W.A.A.Cers don there in Wollongong!

Hi Orion/Ed,

I'm looking forward to seeing the 18" Dob.
I know some of the guys will love to see it with the ServoCAT/Argo Navis in operation.

On a totally different thread on IIS I saw someone ask the question "what was the largest GOTO Dob you could get". I am certainly aware that there is a 41.2" f3.9 scope in the States fitted with a ServoCAT.

I think a lot of people who have not seen ServoCAT/Argo Navis in operation will get a big kick out of seeing your 18" moving around on its own. It always is an impressive sight when these big Dobs move!

Best Regards

Welcome gary, I read the article about how it all started for you and Mia. It must have been an amazing view of the Moon through that little dob in Broome. I guess everybody would have a similar tale to tell but what a wonderful fateful story.
