Sometimes great tragedy brings out the very best in us.
A week ago, a terrible air crash in Colombia saw 71 out of 76 people killed, including the majority of a football team from Brazil, Chapecoense . This team was flying to Colombia to contest the final of a South American international club championship.
The Colombian team they were set to play against, Atletico Nacional, has requested the South American football confederation that the title of champion be awarded to Chapecoense. The confederation has granted this request.

The name "Chapecoense" is now engraved into the trophy and history, gesture that has assured that this tragedy will never be forgotten by the entire continent.
