Great Service

I recently purchased a second-hand EVO mount. It was working fine and I was very happy with it until one of the clutches seized up. I took it to Bintel and they said they would look at it for me.

A few hours later they rang me up and said it was fixed. I went to pick it up expecting to pay something for their time and possibly parts as they needed to partially take it apart but they said don't worry about it as it was an easy fix.

So as always great and cheerful service from the blokes at Bintel!

The clutch knobs can seize if the grub screw is too tight and grabs the aluminium shaft. With the covers removed you can see a grub screw which fits into the recess near the threaded section pictured. The grub screw simply stops the knob from unscrewing all the way and falling off.
You can see a scape mark on the shaft where the grub screw was rubbing from being too tight.
